GEORGE ALLAN’S ENIGMATIC DRAWINGS
UPON VIEWING THE DRAWINGS, THE REACTION FOR MOST, IS USUALLY ONE OF ASTONISHMENT AND INTRIGUE BUT FOR SOME; IT IS A PROFOUND EXPERIENCE. WITHOUT A FRAME OF REFERENCE, IT IS DIFFICULT TO FIND THE WORDS THAT COULD ENCAPSULATE WHAT THESE DRAWINGS ARE OR THE EXPERIENCE THEY ENGENDER IN THE OBSERVER. THE WISE ADAGE; "A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS" IS VERY APT IN THIS INSTANCE. WE INVITE YOU TO VIEW THE DRAWINGS AND MAKE UP YOUR OWN MIND.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Without artistic ability, experience or inclination, this body of work began spontaneously on the morning of January 20, 2001.
The drawings are akin to informational art and do not fit into any existing art genre and are unique by any measure. They contain themes of sacred geometry, frequency patterns, cosmology, astronomy, pictographs, hieroglyphs, and emphasis on portraying the human anatomy and its energy systems, just to name a few and appear almost like ancient texts. Despite their unusual nature, they have attracted a global audience from all walks of life across 6-continents and over 120 countries and yet, the reactions are consistent (albeit expressed in different ways), universal and unbound.
This body of work consists of; First-Series/Genesis, (18-sequential drawings), Second-Series/Matrix and Third-Series/Origins. Additionally, the Derivative-Collection, which is based on the original blueprints but with some augmentation, including colour to emphasise different aspects and perspectives of the drawings that would otherwise be hidden to the casual observer.
The drawings became progressively detailed and complex and the time required to complete each one ranged from days to years. The “Matrix” drawing took around 2,500-hours over a 5-year period to complete, resulting in the most detailed and complex drawing known to exist.
These drawings were never intended to be shared public and certainly not considered from an artistic perspective, as this was a personal journey for the artist and the phenomenon that lead to them, is not easily shared or explained. This also the reason the drawings were aptly named; Enigmatic Drawings.
The artist does not offer any explanation or opinion about the source or meaning of these drawings and leaves it to the viewer to make up their own mind. ABOUT THE DRAWINGS
These are all hand-drawn using led and coloured pencils and ink on some pieces with the aid of tools such as a compass and rulers. All original drawings are retained by the artists and the artwork is offered as fine-art reproduction prints on paper or canvas in a range of sizes.

The Derivative Collection: This utilises the original drawings in full or in part and colour is applied to create a different look and feel to the artwork.
