Sale price: AUD $300 — 50% OFF
Condition note: Both works are in good overall display-stock condition, with minor cosmetic nicks and marks to the black floating frames from previous display. One canvas also has a small shallow dent or impression. These signs of previous display are not especially noticeable under normal viewing conditions and are reflected in the reduced sale price.
Matrix — Inverted Derivatives 01 and 02 are complementary colour derivatives developed from Second Series — Matrix and presented here as a matched pair.
Both works reinterpret selected structures from Matrix through deep blue, cobalt, turquoise, violet, green and warmer accent colours against predominantly dark backgrounds. The inverted colour treatment brings forward geometric and architectural elements that read very differently from the original Matrix drawing.
Derivative 01 is organised around a highly radial central structure, with layered circular systems, orbital forms and repeated geometric elements extending outward through the composition.
Derivative 02 develops a more architectural radial structure, with cylindrical and funnel-like forms converging toward the centre and repeated symbolic and script-bearing elements distributed throughout the surrounding field.
Displayed together, the two works share a strong visual language while remaining clearly distinct. Their related scale, colour palette and black floating-frame presentation allow them to function particularly well as a paired installation.
These framed works have previously been used as coordinated display pieces and are being offered together as one set.

Photography note: Product photographs show the artworks and their colour relationships. Ambient lighting, camera settings and screen display may affect apparent colour and contrast. The physical works are more detailed and vibrant when viewed directly.
