Archival Fine-Art Reproductions
Archival fine-art reproduction uses specialist materials and printing processes intended to reproduce tonal detail, colour and image quality accurately and durably.
Unlike ordinary mass-market decorative prints, museum-quality archival giclée reproduction employs specialist inks and substrates with considerably higher production standards and costs.
A reproduction may belong to a signed and numbered limited edition or be offered as an open edition. The distinction is stated in the product listing.
Fine Art Limited Edition or Premium Print?
These are different ways of presenting selected George Allan drawings. They may share the same underlying artwork, but their edition status, materials, finishing and presentation differ.
Fine Art Limited Editions
Signed and numbered, museum-quality archival giclée reproductions.
Fine Art Limited Editions form the principal collector-edition range within George Allan's Enigmatic Drawings body of work.
The archival canvas presentation uses 100% cotton 380 gsm textured canvas, high-quality gesso coating, archival pigment inks and four coats of protective art varnish.
Other available framed works may use archival pigment inks on 290 gsm archival fine-art paper. Their precise presentation is identified separately.
Fine Art Limited Editions are signed and numbered. Edition quantities are established for each relevant series and presentation.

A Note About Existing Framed Fine-Art Paper Stock
Some artworks in the current Display & Studio Stock Sale are archival giclée reproductions on 290 gsm archival fine-art paper, produced with archival pigment inks.
These are separate physical presentations from the 380 gsm canvas editions. Current framed paper stock uses premium-grade acrylic glazing, with exact framing, dimensions, edition status and condition identified on each individual listing.

For existing display stock, the actual framed dimensions and presentation are those specified in the product listing.
Rolled canvas may be practical for international delivery where that presentation is available. Freight and framing arrangements depend on the individual artwork.
