Created in watercolour and gouache on 300gsm watercolour paper, the circular mandala has been individually cut around its outer edge and floated approximately 5mm above the backing surface. This creates a subtle shadow and dimensional effect within the frame.
The composition features concentric bands of soft sage green, teal, pale aqua, navy and blue-grey, with muted grey and lavender undertones. The restrained cool-toned palette gives the work a calm, balanced and meditative character, while the intricate hand-worked pattern creates rhythm, depth and subtle visual movement.
