Genesis #1 is the first completed work in the Genesis series and marks the beginning of the Enigmatic Drawings sequence.
The drawing is dominated by a highly structured human face emerging from an intricate field of geometric and linear detail. Its bilateral organisation, concentrated facial imagery and densely interconnected forms establish visual characteristics that would continue to develop throughout the subsequent Genesis drawings.
As the opening work of the series, Genesis #1 has particular significance within the chronology of Enigmatic Drawings.
The A2 archival giclée reproduction preserves the intricate monochrome linework and fine detail of the original drawing.
This display-stock example is presented in the later white-frame format with a raised white mat, giving the artwork additional depth and separation within the frame.
For further insight into the imagery, structure and interpretation of Genesis #1, visit the Drawing & AI Analysis section of the Enigmatic Drawings website.
Please note: The photographs show the actual framed display-stock artwork. Reflections from the acrylic glazing and ambient lighting may affect the apparent contrast and clarity in photographs.
