Genesis #10 is a major turning point within First Series — Genesis because it is the first drawing in the sequence in which the human face or body disappears completely.
In its place is a vast circular structure organised around a small central nucleus. From this centre, the drawing expands outward through numerous concentric layers containing repeated circular units, script-like markings and finely ordered symbolic structures.
Radial lines connect the inner and outer fields, creating a highly structured wheel-like or cosmographic architecture. Around the outer boundary, repeated looping and wave-like forms extend beyond the principal circle, preventing the composition from appearing completely enclosed.
The absence of the human figure gives Genesis #10 a distinctly different character from the preceding works. Rather than positioning the body or face within a larger field, the patterned field itself becomes the principal subject.
This archival giclée fine-art reproduction preserves the precise monochrome linework and exceptional density of detail contained in the original drawing. The raised-mat presentation gives the work additional depth and separation within the frame.
