Genesis #16 is structurally distinctive within First Series — Genesis because it divides the composition into two adjacent but interdependent fields.
The left panel is predominantly geometric, organised around a circle within a square and containing intersecting lines, triangles, star-like constructions and repeated circular forms.
The right panel is centred on a large frontal human face. Above the brow are two prominent circular structures positioned bilaterally, together with a vertical sequence of smaller forms extending upward through the centre. Around the face is a dense field of script-bearing circles, symbolic medallions and geometric structures.
The two panels create a deliberate relationship between abstract pattern and human perception: one side presents ordered geometric structure, while the other places conscious human awareness within an equally complex symbolic field.
This side-by-side construction makes Genesis #16 one of the most unusual works in the sequence and gives the landscape format particular visual strength at larger scale.
