Genesis #7 is one of the most distinctive early works within First Series — Genesis, combining a large circular body-centred structure with a separate technical panel of script and diagram-like notation.
A frontal human figure stands within the main circular field, with seven circular centres aligned vertically through the body from crown to base. Geometric lines, triangular relationships and circular intersections overlay the figure, while radial lines extend outward through the surrounding mandala-like structure.
To the right, a separate panel is organised into horizontal bands containing script-like markings, dot-and-line diagrams and other coded forms. This creates a striking relationship between the central figurative composition and a more analytic or reference-like field.
The work marks an important development in the Genesis sequence, bringing together the recurring human figure, circular cosmology, geometry, symbolic script and structured correspondence systems within a single composition.
This version is reproduced in fine blue linework on a white ground, giving the intricate structures a particularly clear and refined appearance. The raised-mat presentation adds depth and separation within the frame.
