Genesis #8 represents a significant development within First Series — Genesis, returning the human face to the centre of the composition within a more complex geometric and symbolic structure.
A frontal face occupies the centre of six concentric rings, each containing different fields of script-like markings, symbolic forms, dot clusters and network-like structures. Radial spokes extend outward through the rings towards the perimeter, giving the composition a strong wheel-like architecture.
The work brings together the recurring human, geometric and glyph-like elements of the earlier Genesis drawings within a highly integrated circular structure, creating one of the most visually concentrated compositions in the early sequence.
This archival giclée fine-art reproduction preserves the precise monochrome linework and intricate symbolic detail of the original drawing. The raised-mat presentation gives the work additional depth and separation within the frame.
